At lunch 2 happy men were posing for Civil Union pix in front of County Bldg. Good for them. Don't feel like my marriage is threatened.

According to this chart from the Heritage Foundation, then, the economically-less-free countries that must have already ceased to be free-market economies include Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the UK, Finland, Macau, Japan, Austria, Sweden, Germany, Taiwan, Belgium, South Korea and Israel. hxxp://ping.fm/nLwcU

Illinois Courts go electronic

The Illinois Supreme and Appellate Courts will no longer publish their opinions in bound volumes, ending a 180-year-old practice. Instead, they will be published electronically on the Court website. Not to criticize progress, but I can walk over to the law library and those cases from 1831 are right there on the shelf, waiting to be read. (And those old cases are still good law - I once cited a case that Lincoln had argued). Will the lawyers of 2191 have as easy access to http://www.state.il.us/court as we have to the dusty old law books?
